Listening

After reading, I felt that I had to re-post it to my blog. It is not really of any intention but the importance of listening that make sense.


....Listening is an important part of any relationship, especially in our relationship with Christ. If we belong to Him, we have the privilege of communing with Him through His Word and the work of the Holy Spirit in our hearts. We know we are paying attention to the true Shepherd when His voice leads us to righteousness, love, grace, and all that is consistent with His character and will. As Jesus made clear when He identified Himself as the “good Shepherd” in John 10, those who diligently listen to Him become devoted followers of Him (v.4) who are becoming transformed into His likeness.
Just as listening attentively to your spouse or a friend communicates value and worth, paying close attention to the voice of Jesus is one way to affirm His importance in your life. So, let’s cast aside the distractions of life, tune in to His voice, and pray for the grace to do what He says.

Travelling to the east of Arabian Peninsula, dusty and windy, the strong winds and blowing sands hasn’t passed yet. It’s been 2 days since Haider saw the clear sky. The heaven’s red horizon grudging the air, his breathing’s slow and his keffiyeh is almost covering his eyes and face to avoid any blown dust and sand. Every day is exactly the same...

I read a post from the blog of Paulo Coelho few days back regarding "vacation". I was stunned but I smiled when I read this "if you do what you love, every day is a holiday”. I guess, its true, if we love what we do, whatever that is, at work, at school, at church, at the mall, at home, and so on, we can consider it as a holiday! Even if we hate what we do sometimes. We learn to adapt the things on demand and appreciate the reward. We can say, there are some people who doesn't consider this as a holiday due to some unfortunate circumstances and situation on their part. I come to the office at 8am, take a 10-minute break at 11am. Have my lunch at 1pm, then take another break at 5pm and finally, I go home at 7pm. Its a routine, perhaps, but Life is full of routine. That is how we manage our time. Every day and every night, its all the same. Living our lives on a cycle, you know what I mean. I  always get inspired whenever I read anything and everything about Love. Perhaps, I really wanted to express my love or feelings in whatever means especially to the people I really care about. That is why, I am really into expressing and giving all my love to my wife and daughter  : ) It is truly, that Love is what makes me smile, whenever I'm tired.  Nature is a manifestation of the Love of God.
